Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom is heading into a multi-week refurbishment, and the reopening date is now confirmed.

The dates

The attraction and its gift shop, Tiana’s Bayou General, close on Monday, November 2, 2026. Both reopen on Friday, December 18, 2026 — roughly a week before Christmas, in time for the busiest travel week of the year.

A first since opening

Winter refurbishments are routine for water rides. For Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, however, this is the first full closure since it opened in 2024.

In January and February 2025, Disney simply closed the ride early on several dates rather than shutting it entirely.

Disney has not said what work is planned.

What guests should know

Between early November and mid-December, one of Frontierland’s busiest attractions will be unavailable. Anyone visiting Magic Kingdom in that window should plan accordingly. As always, refurbishment dates can shift at short notice.
