Last Rides for Crush's Coaster: Closing September 7 Until Summer 2027

One of the most popular attractions at Disney Adventure World goes dark next Monday. Crush's Coaster closes on September 7, 2026 and is not expected back until summer 2027 – around ten months of downtime, the longest in the ride's history.

Disneyland Paris announced the project back in June. With the closure now days away, it becomes a practical planning issue for anyone travelling in the months ahead.

What is being done

The resort describes the work as the most extensive refurbishment since the coaster opened in 2007, split into two areas.

Technical systems. Several core components are being replaced, including parts of the control systems, sensors, communication equipment and selected sections of track. This is infrastructure work, not a cosmetic touch-up.

Show elements and testing. An extensive testing and validation programme follows before the ride can carry guests again. In parallel, the Finding Nemo-inspired show elements are being cleaned, repainted and repaired.

According to Disneyland Paris, several resort departments are involved alongside external contractors, among them Design & Delivery, Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, Maintenance and the Central Workshops. The resort's stated goal is to secure the attraction's operation for years to come while maintaining the best possible guest experience.

Why this is more than routine maintenance

Crush's Coaster has been running since 2007 and still posts some of the longest waits on property, partly because its capacity is inherently limited. The ride already closed for around six months in 2015. This project goes considerably further.

The timing lands in the middle of a transitional period for Disney Adventure World. The park is deep into its multi-year transformation, World of Frozen opened on March 29, 2026, and further areas are still under construction. Losing a headline attraction for ten months will noticeably shift crowd patterns across the park.

Anyone visiting Disneyland Paris between September 2026 and summer 2027 should take Crush's Coaster off the list entirely. No precise reopening date has been given – "summer 2027" is the only official wording, and on projects of this scale timelines can move.
